Today we get to hear the most famous story in the world! This day starts with grief, disappointment and fear but ends with joy and hope. The reading from John tells us Mary Magdalene’s story. Once again, Jesus called Mary by her name, opening her eyes to His new reality and is the first person to experience the joy of the Resurrection. John adds the detail of her name as an important aspect of resurrection. It is personal to each and every one of us. He calls us by our name.
